7 game ideas with flashcards - Part I
Split
Our wooden learning cards are used to improve children's language skills in a playful way. With our wooden cards you can not only learn about animals or vehicles, but also create many other games that make learning more attractive for children. Today we present you our top 7 favorite games with our flashcards 😊
1. Get to know animals
Choose a flashcard and show it to your child. Ask the question which animal sees it. After the answer, it is best to repeat yourself how the respective animal is correctly pronounced.
2. Practice the translation
For our bilingual cards, the translation is given in a second language. Read it out loud and have your child repeat it after you.
3. Imitate sounds
First try to name the individual animals in the pictures together and then imitate their sounds. "How does the cow do?" Or you can first imitate the sound and let your child look for the animal. "Muhh... Do you know which animal it is?"
4. Discover colors
We deliberately designed our flashcards to be very colorful so that the most important colors are shown. Look for colors together, for example by asking your child what color the crocodile is.
5. Sort by habitat
Our cards are divided into 3 categories. Animals that live on farms and in the forests. Animals that are more native to Africa and aquatic animals. Sort the cards according to these categories and let your child speak.
6. Practice numbers
We have hidden little details on our cards that you can use to practice the numbers. For example, there are butterflies among the land animals, you can count them together 😊 Or how many small flowers do you discover in the fields among the farm and forest animals?
7. Find animals
Visit an animal park, petting zoo or farm with your children and look for the animals shown on our flashcards together.
