Most of my recipes come up spontaneously, depending on what we have in the fridge and pantry.
I added potatoes and carrots to the green lentil patties and can only say that if you like lentils in general or falafel, you definitely have to try the recipe ☺️😋
Ingredients for 12 patties:
100g green lentils
1 tbsp chopped parsley
2 tbsp rapeseed oil
2 tsp Adios salt or any spices
2-3 tbsp flour
Optional: 1 small onion
oil for frying
1️⃣Wash, peel and cut carrots and potatoes into small cubes.
2️⃣Wash green lentils.
3️⃣In a pot of water, cook the lentils on high heat for 5 minutes.
4️⃣Then add the carrot and potato cubes and cook on medium heat for another 15 minutes (add a little more water if necessary so that it doesn't burn).
5️⃣At the end of the cooking time there is usually no liquid left. If so, simply drain everything in a colander.
6️⃣Optional: Peel the onion and cut it very small.
7️⃣Add the chopped parsley, egg, onion, oil and spices and mix well.
8️⃣If you like, you can also roughly puree the mixture (I didn't do that).
9️⃣Add flour to the mass and mix everything together well.
🔟The mixture is relatively soft, form patties either with your hands or with two tablespoons.
1️⃣1️⃣Heat some oil in a coated pan and fry the patties on both sides over medium heat.
(You may have to add a little more oil to the pan as the frying time increases)
💡Tip: Don't turn the patties over until one side is golden brown so that they don't stick to the pan or fall apart.
1️⃣2️⃣Let it cool down a bit and enjoy! 😋
