Vegetable soup with rice

Vegetable soup for children

Today we had vegetable soup with rice for lunch. Bee is very picky at the moment and didn't even want to try the soup,
but we enjoyed it very much. I recommend the soup without onion and cream from the 7th month and only from one year.

Ingredients:
1 onion or shallot
200g zucchini
200g carrots
250g potatoes
3 tbsp red lentils
800ml water (or vegetable broth from one year old)
100ml cooking cream
Some chives or parsley
Some oil

Optional:
Boiled rice or boiled noodles

Preparation:
1️⃣Wake the vegetables, peel them if necessary and cut them into rough pieces.
2️⃣Peel the onion and chop finely.
3️⃣In a pot, sauté the onion with a little oil until translucent.
4️⃣Add the vegetables and red lentils and fry for about 3-5 minutes.
5️⃣Deglaze with water or broth, simmer briefly and continue to simmer on low heat with the lid closed for 15-20 minutes until all vegetables are cooked softly.
6️⃣Turn off the stove. Add the cooking cream and leave on the stove for about 10 minutes.
7️⃣Mash the soup finely.
8️⃣For older children or adults, season with salt and pepper.
9️⃣Serve with the chives or parsley. Complete! 😋

🍚I always like to add 1-2 tablespoons of rice or noodles to the soup, so Bee can eat the soup a little better with a spoon.
